Former boss tips Carson to be a hit at Liverpool

The England Under-21 keeper is finalising his £750,000 transfer to Liverpool today, and his former manager believes he will do well.

"I have no doubts that he can become Liverpool's no. 1," he said. "He made his debut at Old Trafford in a 1-1 draw and his next game was at Chelsea when we lost 1-0.

"You can't get two games much harder than that."
