"We've a really talented squad and when I've had a bit of a rest I'll be raring to go for Germany," said the Liverpool skipper.
"I'll have a break for a couple of weeks, a week with my family.
"The other England boys are going to Portugal but I'm staying and will get some rest.
"It's going to be a great tournament and I'm excited by the England squad. We have such a good group of players, and after this, I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it."
