Owen aiming for UEFA success

The 23-year-old Liverpool striker admits that he is eager to add a second UEFA Cup winners medal to a growing list of honours accrued in recent years.

Owen said: "It would be nice to add a second UEFA Cup win to my CV. There are few players who get a chance to win the UEFA Cup and even fewer who go on to win it twice.

"This is clearly a massive game for both clubs. There are some good teams left in the competition, like Lazio, Porto and Olympiakos, but I think the winners of this game would fancy their chances of maybe going on to win the trophy. That's what we'll be aiming for anyway.

"I'm really looking forward to the game tomorrow. The atmosphere last week was brilliant and I'm sure it'll be the same at Anfield."
