Mohamed Salah is reportedly unhappy after being benched for Liverpool's Premier League win over West Ham, a decision manager Arne Slot explained was due to the forward's dip in form.
Slot today confirmed that Salah will travel to the Africa Cup of Nations on or before December 15th.
The manager stressed that the club needs to manage the situation carefully given Salah's importance, but that form dictates selection.
“Mo has had an unbelievable career at this club and will have a very good future at this club because he's such a special player,” he said. “You have to decide once in a while to make a certain lineup, and you try to pick the best lineup for every single game.
