Liverpool boss Arne Slot confirmed today that he will hold a face-to-face meeting with Mohamed Salah to determine the forward's involvement in Saturday's match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Salah, who was left out of the midweek Champions League trip to Inter Milan, had made explosive comments last weekend, suggesting he had been "thrown under the bus" by the club.
Slot was cautious in his press conference, stating, "I will have a conversation with him this morning and the outcome of that conversation will determine how it looks tomorrow."
With Salah due to leave for the Africa Cup of Nations next week, the outcome of these talks could determine if the Egyptian star has played his final match for the club.
Despite the tension, Slot insists he sees "no reason" why he would not want Salah to stay beyond the January transfer window.
