Alisson Becker has signed for Liverpool from Roma, becoming the world's most epxensive goalkeeper in a £66.8m deal.

After realising the limitations of both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius over the course of last season, Jurgen Klopp was determined to 'fix' the problem and the club were happy to offer the huge sum required to lure him from Roma.

“I’m really happy, it’s a dream come true to wear such a prestigious shirt for a club of this size that is used to always winning,” the bearded Brazilian told the club's official site. “It’s a huge step for me being part of this club and this family. You can be certain that I’ll give my all.”

After already making Virgil van Dijk the world's most expensive defender last summer, it underlines the club's commitment to invest in a squad that can be successful, both in the Premier League and the Champions League.
