However, with the Champions League set to start again soon, Phil Thompson believes this is where Baros will fit in.
"He will hopefully be much fitter by then," said Thommo. "You have to remember his level of fitness is still not up to the level of the other players, so there's no point in rushing him.
"Not being an E.C. player makes it difficult for us in the Premiership but the nice thing is that he will be available for the Champions League campaign. You can certainly expect him to be involved. He is good enough to be playing at that level.
"Don't forget he played for the Czech Republic in their World Cup qualifiers so he has performed at a high level."
