In the biggest twist of Deadline Day so far, Liverpool have reportedly gazumped Chelsea to agree a £60 million deal for Rennes centre-back Jérémy Jacquet.
The 20-year-old Frenchman had been in advanced talks with the Blues, but the Reds moved swiftly this morning following a season-ending injury to Conor Bradley.
Jacquet is currently undergoing medical checks in London and is expected to sign a five-year contract at Anfield before the 7pm deadline.
