The Italian club are reportedly interested in the Reds' full-back and reports in Italy suggest Napoli have sent their sporting director Riccardo Bigon to Liverpool to try and sort out a deal for Dossena.
The Reds will be hoping to recoup at least half of the £7m they spent on Dossena.
