Liverpool manager Arne Slot has admitted he has a gut feeling that the injury sustained by Alexander Isak against Tottenham could be serious.
Isak scored the opening goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday but was forced off immediately after being caught by a challenge from Micky van de Ven.
Reports suggest the striker will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the damage to his lower leg.
While there are hopes he has avoided a long-term knee injury, Slot noted that Isak’s inability to even attempt to play on was a concerning sign for the Reds' medical staff.
