"The omens were good going into the game," he said. "I saw the game yesterday, saw Cardiff go through and a big part of me was delighted for them, but this is a great opportunity for us.
"It couldn't be a better final for me. Cardiff mean so much to me, it's where I'm from, I've never played at Wembley.
"To beat a club like Man City with all the players they have, its just so fitting for us to get to the final.
"We work hard, as every player does at this club to try to improve his play, and to get to the final is big for us."
