Talk of the Chelsea forward moving to Anfield isn't new. According to the papers he was Brendan Rodgers' first choice replacement for Andy Carroll in the summer, before his attention was diverted to Clint Dempsey and it all went pear-shaped.
Then last month he was once again being tipped for a possible move, named alongside Theo Walcott on Rodgers' New Year wish list.
With first team football not guaranteed at Chelsea there could be some truth in the rumour that he is unsettled, but this story is likely to rumble on until January.
