The 18-year-old, who has been training with the Reds all summer, played three friendlies for the under-21s and was included in the first-team squad for their game in Helsinki last month, joins from Internacional.
Liverpool submitted the paperwork to complete the deal on Tuesday and - having had confirmation of his signing - he has been sent out to gain some European experience.
