The Gunners' interest in Liverpool's Uruguayan striker is statting to appear genuine, with a £40m bid apparently being prepared.
Suarez's agent Pere Guardiola is doing his best to remind potential suitors that £40m would trigger a release clause, but according to The Mirror, "Real Madrid have insisted they will not pay more than £25m for the striker- which will be nowhere near enough."
Real are believed to be Suarez's preferred club, so it will be interesting to see if Arsenal's continued interest will encourage them to revise their valuation.
