It has been revealed that the Reds skipper has been ruled out of the game because of illness.
With Luis Suarez suspended for Sunday's game with West Ham, the Uruguayan striker will play, in a game which Liverpool need to at least match Young Boys' result against Anzhi without losing in order to qualify for the next round of the tournament.
