"It was a good team performance, we started the game really well and beat a very good team today," said the Liverpool skipper. "Norwich pressed well and were a good side to beat.
When asked about hat-trick hero Luis Suarez he added: "Top player, one of the best in the world and today was his day. His finishing was clinical and us as a team could have had two or three more.
"I was just about to give him a bollocking when he shot for the hat-trick but it turned into a round of applause.
"He's a special player, his movement is first class and we are on the same wavelength, so it makes my job as a midfielder a lot easier playing alongside him.
"We want to go into this cup final in good form. Today we've kept a clean sheet and played very well. More of the same against Fulham on Tuesday and then we can look forward to the big one."
