"To beat Everton is always special, but to score three goals is a little bit extra," he said after the game.
"I have to give my teammates a mention, especially Luis Suarez - he put two on a plate for me. Great team performance, clean sheet, everything we wanted from the game."
When asked what it is like to play with Suarez he added: "I've not played with him much but when I have we seem to have an understanding, with Andy aswell. With the three of us in the starting eleven we are always going to be a threat so hopefully that will continue to get stronger and stronger.
"It's been frustrating the inconsistency we've been showing in the league. We played very well against Arsenal and got nothing, then we never turned up against Sunderland.
"We're going from one extreme to another at the moment and need to find a level of consistency where we go on a winning streak rather than win one lose one because we find ourselves in a position in the league that we don't want."
