The Uruguayan scored twice in the game to take his tally to 22 for the season, and was reunited with the returning Daniel Sturridge.
"More important than my performance was the team. We played very hard today. If we know we win today its very important for confidence in the future."
When asked about Sturridge's return he added: "It's important because he is a great player. He helps the team. For a long time we played without him and and he is back we are so happy."
