"It won 't make any difference to us, we're there to play football," said the Liverpool boss.

"The most important thing for us is to get through the football match and I think everybody has a responsibility to go along and support their team.

"Our fans were absolutely magnificent on Wednesday night. The same again won't do us any harm and United fans will want to come and support their team which is right.

"The players will want to compete on the pitch and I'm sure they'll do that responsibly and for us there's also the responsibility from people who are talking about the game that they tone it down a bit aswell, because as far as we are concerned the only concentration is the game.

"We know what's happened previously at any game or any incident at any time and have put that behind us, whether your in agreement or disagreement, and we'll just concentrate and try to get a result tomorrow."
