The former Newcastle midfielder could be on his way back to the Premier League after a less than impressive year in the French League, with both Liverpool and Arsenal keeping a close eye on developments.
With next year's Euros fast approaching the 29-year old is wanting regular first team football and is being considered as a replacement for the departing Steven Gerrard.
"It is a distinct moment in my career. I have never been through this before," Cabaye said on French TV.
"One has to accept it but also try to change it. It is super important for me, I want to play at Euro 2016.
"I need to speak to the boss and my representatives to see what is best for me."
