"Jon is up for the Balon D'Or awards, " he joked.
"He's an incredible young player. He's a wonderful example for any player to stick at it. He's a youngster that no-one has asked to take on loan, apart for one team, and he's just played in the reserves and under-21 team.
"His attitude every single day of his life is incredible and since he's come into the team at full-back he hasn't put a foot wrong.
"When he arrives in the box he's got a goal. A wonderful finish and I'm delighted for him."
