The 24-year-old has made only three starts since joining City in a £6.2 million move from Swansea last summer, but Roberto Mancini says there is no place for him at the Ethihad.
“I think it is better if he can have another solution," admitted Mancini.
“If he stays here, maybe, everything can change but I can understand his frustration in this moment because he didn’t play a lot of games.”
Sinclair was admitted to hospitalthis weekend with a blood clot on his shoulder, but this is unlikely to affect his ability to pass a medical should a move to Liverpool happen.
