Liverpool have declined to comment on the reports of Arsenal's move. However, it is understood an approach was made and instantly rejected as the Merseyside club continue to insist they want to keep Suarez at Anfield.
With Suarez blaming the British press for his desire to leave the club, it still seems most likely that he will go to Real Madrid, despite interest from Chelsea too.
Also, as mentioned in the Guardian, "Arsenal are still attempting to complete the signing of Gonzalo Higuaín from Real Madrid and any offer for Suárez could be seen as an attempt to pressurise the Spanish side into finalising the deal."
