The Spanish keeper was loaned out to the Italian club for the season, managed by Rafa Benitez, when Brendan Rodgers signed Simon Mignolet in the summer, despite insisting at the time that he wanted to stay at Liverpool.
He issued an emotional farewell message to Liverpool fans at the time, but is now settled in Serie A
"I'm very happy here and my family's happy too," he said. "I'll be here right to the end, but not even I know what will happen after.
"I'm here now but I've got to return to Liverpool, although it's unlikely I'll stay there.
