Palace up their offer for Benteke

According to The Guardian, after having a £25m bid rejected last week, 'Palace’s new proposal is understood to be worth an initial £27m, with further fees linked to appearances, achievements and the club’s ability to qualify for Europe.'

It's pretty clear that Benteke doesn't feature in Jurgen Klopp's plans, after his lack of first team football since the German manager took over from Brendan Rodgers last October. The Belgian scored only eight times in 36 games (21 of those as a sub) for Liverpool under Klopp.

With Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge back to full fitness and Sadio Mane a new arrival from Southampton, its likely that the Reds will accept such an offer, only £1m less than they paid Aston Villa for him a year ago.
