Fowler joined Liverpool FC Academy when he was nine years old. He made his first team debut at the age of 18 and played for Liverpool’s first team for nine years before he left and re-joined for 18 months in 2006.
His duties as a Club Ambassador include attending matches, working with commercial partners, supporting Club-wide initiatives and working with the Academy as a mentor.
“Liverpool has been a massive part of my life for 30 years now. It’s been an honour to play for this Club and it’s even more of a privilege to be asked to be an ambassador” he said.
“I’m looking forward to representing this great Club and will do all I can to support success both on and off the pitch."
Fowler kick-starts his duties as an ambassador by joining the first team on their 2014 pre-season tour in the USA. Fixtures include:
