Liverpool are plotting a £15million summer swoop for Daniel Sturridge to help fire them back into the Champions League.
New boss Brendan Rodgers will act quickly after the departure of Dirk Kuyt to Fenerbahce and the Chelsea striker, 22, is at the top of his wanted list.
It appears that Sturridge is unhappy with the amount of first team action he has been getting under Roberto Di Matteo and, if as expected, the Italian gets the Chelsea manager job on a permanent basis then he will be keen to move on.
