With former club AFC Bournemouth entitled to a 25% cut in any sell-on fee, Southampton have demanded an additional £5m from the Reds, according to The Echo.
It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool will dig their heels in and risk losing out, as they did with Yevhen Konoplyanka during the January transfer window, or whether Brendan Rodgers will be given the funds necessary to get his man.
