"We're very pleased with the three points," he said after the game.
"The objective before the game was to get a win.It didn't matter how we done it, but we played some decent stuff along the way today so we're very pleased and what a goal to win it.
"We knew we had to win the game. The manager said at the beginning of the season we're going to try to win everything we are competing in.
"This is a tough competition and its long and at times he will use the squad, but he decided to pick a very strong team tonight and the lads done the job for him."
