"The manager has emphasised that we've got to be a team and stick together and that's what we've done," said the striker. "We've gone onto the football field and worked asd a unit.
"It was a difficult week but we've just come here to do our job and that's what we did today.
"I'm sure the fans will have a nice journey home today and it was a good result for us.
"I wouldn't say I'm delighted with Luis being out. He's a great player and its unfortunate that he's got a lengthy ban, but its good for myself that I'm able to get some games.
"I didn't come to Liverpool to be sat on the bench, so for me its important to be playing and that's what I came here to do."
