On receiving the award Suarez said: "The manager [Brendan Rodgers] has been a huge influence, not just on me but on every single player at the club this season.
"The position I am playing now is really the one I like the most- a free number nine. The manager tells me I can score goals and fills me with confidence to do well for the team."
