Dirk Kuyt became the first Liverpool player to score on his first ten penalty kicks for the club since John Aldridge - and that was in 1987.

Maxi Rodríguez became the first foreign midfielder to score 10 league goals in his first full season at the club - Mølby did so in his second.

Maxi Rodríguez also became the first South American player to score more than once in a competitive match for Liverpool.

Maxi also became the first midfielder to score two hat tricks in a Premier League season for this club.

Furthermore, Maxi became the first non-European player to score a hat trick for the club (Gordon Hodgson played for England, and as for Benayoun, Israel are UEFA members).

Maxi became the first non-European player to reach 10 league goals in the same season, eclipsing Craig Johnston and Harry Kewell, who had scored 7 apiece at their best.

Luis Suárez scored his first league goal after just 16 minutes, tying Abel Xavier's club Premiership record.

Dirk Kuyt was the first Liverpool player to score a hat trick against Manchester United since Peter Beardsley in 1990.

Kuyt's hat trick was the first for a Liverpool player against the other "Classic Three" teams (ourselves, Mancs, Arsenal) since Robbie Fowler's famous salvo against Arsenal in 1994.

Maxi was the first player to score a hat trick on away soil in a competitive fixture since Fernando Torres against Reading in the 2007-08 League Cup, and in the league since Michael Owen against WBA in 2003.

Chris Brunt's first penalty kick goal ended a streak 876 minutes - nearly 15 hours of competive football of Liverpool keeping the clean sheet against WBA.

6 points in the first 8 games make the 1992-93 start under Souness look a success - 9 points in the corresponding time. The start of this season was the worst recorded in the current era of top-flight era, and it goes back to 1963...

Joe Cole's stoppage-time winner against Bolton was our first of the sort at Anfield since Steven Gerrard in Middlesbrough in 2008. In the 2008-09, four matches were won in stoppage time.

Fernando Torres ended up on 65 league goals for the club, more than any non-British Isles player, having moved past Mølby back in 2009. He is now chased by Dirk Kuyt, the Dutch hitman being just one goal away from 50.

Roy Hodgson became the first Liverpool manager to win his five first European matches #FACT (astonishingly... eh he beat Rabotnicki, Trabzonspor and Steaua.)

Raul Meireles' winning goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge marked just the third league goal for Liverpool on that ground since January 2004. Remarkably, all three Liverpool goals have been deciders in famous away 1-0 victories.

Not only was Dirk Kuyt our top scorer in the league with his 13 strikes, but 8 assists ensured he won that category too.

Fernando Torres has scored 7 goals in 8 fixtures against Chelsea, but just once in 18 matches with them.

Jamie Carragher is now the player with the second-highest number of appearances for Liverpool.

In the six PL fixtures Raul Meireles did not start we scored a mere two goals in them, recording a miserable five points. Think about that, Kenny and Damien, please, before you sell him.

This is the first season where there have been four competive hat tricks since 2007-08, when Torres, Gerrard and Benayoun accumulated six. In the league however, three of them made for the best number since 2000-01, when Michael Owen grabbed two and Emile Heskey one.

A bit hardcore, but in fact, the Italian citizen Maxi Rodríguez was the first Italian citizen to score double figures in a season for the club.

Liverpool had not scored five goals away from home in a competitive fixture since at Luton Town (5-3 in the 2006 FA Cup), before the 5-2 win at Fulham.

15 players scored competive goals for the club this season, mirroring last season's tally.

The mirrored results this season (same figure on the scoreboard at both ground 1-0, 0-1, 1-1, 1-1..., in other words results leading to extra time in Europe) were at an unusually high four (Arsenal 1-1, Man City 3-0, Wigan 1-1, Stoke 2-0).

Milan Jovanović became the first ever Serb to represent Liverpool, whilst Luis Suárez became the first Uruguayan to do so. Which was the best deal is up for you to decide

Glen Johnson became the first right back to score against the same club in both Premier League fixtures, ironically his boyhood club West Ham United.

Andy Carroll was the first player to score (intentionally) both for and against Liverpool in one season, since Dean Saunders in 1992-93.

Between minute 69 against Blackpool and when his season was ended in April against WBA, Liverpool went 631 minutes + stoppage time without conceding with Daniel Agger on the pitch (10 1/2 hours).

The players scoring two or more goals against Liverpool (in one match) this season came from Argentina, Bulgaria, Zimbabwe and Northern Ireland. Amazing mix, has to be said.

A total of 37 players, from 15 nations, represented Liverpool Football Club this season.

Fernando Torres has so far allegedly cost Chelsea £54 million per goal
