Kennedy Exclusive: Good to be back at Anfield

It was great to see so many people turn out. One of the reasons I have stayed living in the North West is because I love the people.

They are always happy to help out others and they care about events like this.

The best part of the day was the lap of honour after the game. The crowd stayed right until the end and were fantastic.

It was good to see so many former players there - from Kenny Dalglish and John Barnes to Robbie Fowler and Ian Rush. It's something that could never be done again.

It was good to see the old boys passing it around. It was one-touch football, although it was more pass than move really.

On 24th April we are having another match - this time in support of Marine manager Roly Howard, who is the longest-serving manager in English football, so I'm hoping people turn out again to watch us.

A combined team of Liverpool and Everton legends will play a Championship-winning side and all the old boys will be there.

I'm helping to organise the teams and am trying to get Roy Evans down to manage the team, so I'm looking forard to it.

In addition, we'll be taking to the road in the summer, with matches in Barbados and the Far East, aswell as an organised trip to Norway and Sweden which has been arranged by the supporters clubs over there.
