Just when we thought we had turned a corner after Tuesday night's draw with Chelsea, Liverpool's poor form is back on track.

Jurgen Klopp was quick to admit that his team simply weren't good enough in the 2-0 defeat at the KC Stadium - a result that leaves them dropping to 13 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea and all but seals any title dreams that the most optimistic of fans had.

"At this moment obviously that was not enough," he said after the game. "The first half for sure was not enough. We gave both goals away easily, the overall performance was not like it should be.

"It makes no sense for us to play like this. If we played like we did in the second half for the whole game no team can cope with us. But we need to wake up, that was not acceptable.

"I have a lot of thoughts at the moment and I can’t even say a few of them right now because I really need to think about what happened.

"We had a lot of possession, but what is possession? Possession is only good if you create something. It was not like we expected from ourselves. We have to take the criticism, think about it, find a few answers and react."

This result leaves the Reds struggling, but now that Sadio Mane is back and Philippe Coutinho is fit, then hopefully the full strength first team can get some game time in and start clicking again like we did at the start of the season.

With a run-in heavy on home games because of the stadium work at the start of the season, we still have a good chance of that all-important top four place.
