I must say that since their arrival, the manner in which Fenway Sports Group have conducted themselves, the quality of the decisions that they have made to date, their total professionalism and understated considered approach convinces me that they really do understand the ethos of the “Liverpool Way”.
Their next two big decisions on the horizon is the appointment of our permanent Manager and the stadium conundrum, hopefully they will continue their good form to date and rightly appoint King Kenny and redevelop Anfield.
I actually don’t believe that they have put a foot wrong and I must say I think they are a class act, which is refreshing and fills me with great expectations for the future.
I am sure that this Summer they will continue their excellent work to date and we will also see a return to those values on the pitch.
The values that rely on ruthless evolution rather than revolution, and a starting 11 based on meritocracy not sentimentality.
Past achievements will be respected but rightly it will all be about the next game, if a player becomes available that will improve our first team then we should sign them. Competition for every position will be key. It will then be up to every player to respond to this challenge and those that don’t will rightly be moved on.
Exciting times ahead methinks……
