That was the week then was it?

Newcastle and Chelsea seemed to have really caught a cold and just when Liverpool are enjoying their best run of the season since October.

The West Brom result may have been a little flattering but it should have given everyone a huge shot of confidence. Even with Henchoz out, Hyypia missing the derby and Riise now missing the rest of the season, it doesn’t appear to have dented our form or confidence. A few months ago, Traore's slip against Charlton would have killed the team off mentally, but now we seemed to have regained our appetite for winning.

This weekend we have a potentially tricky game against Man City. I hate playing opposite former players and I bet Fowler would love to show Houllier and Thompson that they made a mistake in letting him go. However, Newcastle and Chelsea have to play Birmingham and West Ham respectively. These two sides are enjoying some of the best form in the league right now and I’m glad we haven’t got to play them.
