Free scoring we are not, but when were we ever? It’s like we’ve got the old team back with Dudek, Gerrard and Hamann all playing well again.
A home win against Bolton did as much for us psychologically as it did our league position. Only three points adrift of 4th spot now.
However, the league form and the goal scoring will have to improve if we are to get above Everton and Chelsea. We still have to visit both places in what will probably be our toughest games.
One place where defending seems to count far more than goals is the UEFA cup.

Liverpool controlled large periods of the match and in many ways should have scored another, if only we could make more chances.
