The main problem...

Babel aside, and now Yossi is back ... time after time we got into decent positions yesterday, often where the fullback was isolated in a one on one, yet rather than someone have a go at him we'd work the ball backwards and retain possesion.

I can understand it in the central midfield area, we've got to accept that lack of creativity when Lucas and Masch are gonna play together, but seriously we've signed Maxi and I haven't seen him beat a man yet ... the 2 attempts of note yesterday (Skrtel's header aside) came from when Gerrard beat a man and had a shot ...

If you look at someone like city, SWP and Jonhson were both more than happy taking a man on and trying to threaten ... until we sort it I can't see how were gonna break decent teams down, we're hardly barca-esque in our passing and movement.

Thought Babel worked himself into the ground yesterday, and if he continues to show that kind of desire and attitude maybe he'll become the player we all hoped he would be.

Yossi coming back is a huge plus, at least we're going to have someone who is actually going to try and take someone on now.

Can't help but feel we missed a trick yesterday and should have had a real go at them.
