Turn Up, Tune In, Turn Off

While there's no denying that Liverpool desperately need more firepower, the defensive problem is one that cannot be ignored.

Far too many times this season have we conceded equalisers and denied a win - Bordeaux, Norwich, Sion, Everton and now Southampton.

With Brendan Rodgers making way for Jurgen Klopp I would have expected this to be promptly fixed, but the defence are still switching off and conceding late goals.

At the other end of the field we do lack creativity and chances in the final third, but injuries to Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings have made it difficult. Christian Benteke's return to fitness is helping and Roberto Firmino seems to be starting to settle in.

But there's no excuse at the back. If we are to turn around this season we must stop conceding sloppy late goals. Unless we do then we're not going to get to see how far Klopp can take us in the Champions League next season.
