Born: Madrid, Spain 31.8.82
Position: Goalkeeper
Previous clubs: Barcelona, Villareal.

Pepe Reina joined Rafael Benitez's Spanish armada in July 2005, after the Livepool boss beat off competition from Manchester United for his signature.

He ousted Jerzy Dudek from the first team, despite being handed the no. 25 shirt which he has kept since

"You have to earn your place," he said. "I am going there to work and to win my place - and win over the fans."

Reina has certainly done that, becoming possibly the most consistent keeper in the Premier League and earning a reputation as a penalty-saving master.

He went on loan to Napoli for the 13/14 season then joined Bayern Munich in 2014.
