Stephen Warnock is a defensive midfield player. After a season in the reserves and a short spell on loan at Bradford City he has spent the 2003/04 season on loan with Coventry City.
Rafael Benitez gave Warnock the opportunity to show what he can do during the first half of the 2004/05 season, and he played well, but once again injury forced him out of the starting line-up.
