Paterson said: "Liverpool are a side full of quality international football players. It will be a real test for Aberdeen playing against world stars like Michael Owen and Steven Gerrard but a test my players will relish.
"We have a good pre-season fixture list with Liverpool the perfect warm-up before we meet Hearts and then Rangers in the SPL."
