The French striker returned from injury last week and was man of the match in Liverpool's reserve game with Everton.

A loan move would allow him to regain match fitness should he be needed later in the season.

"We have a list of names we are working through at the moment, but we have not yet drawn up a shortlist," said Aberdeen's executive director of football Willie Miller.

"We have been taking in games in England to see which players are out there, whether they are suitable and whether they are available.

"We are well aware the transfer window closes at the end of the month and it will be the end of the week before we finalise which players we think can do a job."
