Ablett unhappy as Dudek sees red

El Zhar scored Liverpool's only goal from the penalty spot in the 2-1 defeat.

"I suppose if you abide by the laws of the game then unfortunately Jerzy had to go for raising his hands, but in our opinion you have to take into context the challenge on him," reserve team coach Gary Ablett told the ifficial site.

"I thought we started the game slowly but eventually started to dominate the first half only to then not turn up to play in the second half which was a non event for us.

"For some reason in the second half we just never passed the ball which was really disappointing from our point of view and we just never got going in the second half.

"Our technical ability is second to none but where we lack at the moment is our decision making, our intelligence and our game understanding. Unless that improves we are going to continue to struggle so that's down to obviously myself and the other members of the coaching staff to get that out of them.

"If we can we will go forward but if we can't then we will struggle. For a club the stature of Liverpool Football Club and obviously with me coming into the job this season to lose our first three games is unacceptable."
