Adam delighted with three points at West Brom

"I think the first half, once you get the goal it completely changes the game," he said.

"I think the first half we played well but the second half we never kept the ball as well as we should have and its something we'll have to get better at, but to come here and get three points, we are delighted."

The Scottish midfielder's penalty conversion opened the scoring after only eight minutes at the Hawthorns.

"I'm glad I managed to step up and get the goal and set us on our way," he added.

"We are disappointed with results we've had this year. Last week we had numerous chances and we could have killed it off, but that's what happens when you play in the best league in the world.

"If you don't score you can get punished and we did. We've done that a couple of times this year, but I thought today we came here, started the game extremely well and deserved to win the game in the end."
