The 25-year-old striker may have claimed his first goal of the season to help the Reds to a crucial victory against his former employees, but Adams has revealed that he still views Heskey as 'his boss' due to a £100,000 donation given to the Midlands club by the player in their hour of need last season.

Adams said: "I think I have to call him boss after that! He's a great kid, it showed what he's all about with what he did for Leicester last season. He's a willing lad and I hope that's the beginning of a lot of goals this season for him at Liverpool. I'm sure it will be."

How many will Heskey score this season?
