Brett Emerton's agent Simon Konstantinidis has confirmed that Liverpool are interested in the Aussie winger.

Kop Talk exclusively revealed months ago that Emerton was a target and updates of developments since then have been provided on the Insider mailing list.

Leeds United, Arsenal and Newcastle United are also interested in the winger so a bidding war could start with the trio willing to pay over the odds. Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier on the other hand will not pay an inflated asking fee.

"I can assure you that no club is more of a favourite than any other," revealed Konstantinidis when asked about transfer developments.

"Brett is going to think about it but he hasn't made his decision yet.

"Liverpool and Leeds have both shown an interest but it hasn't gone any further than that."

Konstantinidis added: "The chances of Brett playing in England are good. His club have said they would like to sell him now as Brett only has two years left on his contract. Feyenoord have publicly said that they have no objection to Brett going provided that the clubs that are interested in him agree on a transfer."
