Agent: Hamann not leaving Anfield

Didi Hamann's agent Dirk Lips was last night forced into stating that the player was happy at Liverpool and that he will not be leaving in the summer.

Back-tracking following quit threat?

Initially Lips decided not to move his by refusing to admit or deny that there had been a bust-up regarding Didi's role at the club next season but now he's had a change of heart and publicly stated his player is happy.

"There is absolutely no chance of Dietmar Hamann leaving Liverpool. He is 100 per cent happy there," said Lips.

Hopefully Hamann will be at Anfield next season but we feel there is more to this and it will be interesting to see what players are recruited in the summer and if he does stay, it will be interesting to see if Didi plays the same amount of games as he currently does.

A meeting between the player, his agent and the club has apparently been arranged.
