Agger contract still to be resolved

Initial rumours earlier in the season suggested that the Danish defender was prepared to leave the club in the summer, although three weeks ago it appeared that the issue had been resolved and he had signed a new deal.

We now understand that this has yet to be signed, but will be when he returns from his country's World Cup qualifier in Sweden next week.

"Nothing has been signed yet, but I expect to do so when the game against Sweden is over," he told the Danish press.
