Dutch giants Ajax want to sign Liverpool star Jari Litmanen after hearing that the player's agents are secretly listening to offers, as revealed exclusively on the Insider recently.
Ajax want to take Jari to the club that made him a hero and a transfer in the summer is an option for the out-of-favour player should he fancy it.
Litmanen, who won the European Cup with Ajax in 1995, this week pledged that he wanted to remain at Anfield and fight for his place.
Kop Talk understands that Newcastle are seriously interested in recruiting him and they could easily afford the £2million asking fee that the Reds will be looking for but if he does decide to move on, a switch back to Ajax would naturally prove very tempting.
